台湾儒学的社会关怀

摘要:

台湾儒学应该是社会化的产物,是来自本土的生态环境所形成的文化运动,不是外来文化的移植,而是自我文化更新与改造运动,强烈地关怀现代社会的生存环境,努力地避开自身失调与外力冲击的困境,开显出台湾儒学的文化理想与实现之路。台湾儒学在社会关怀的过程中,必然要面对不少外在的挑战,自身要具备强大自我实现的文化能量。文章提出了四个挑战方向,即“以边陲对抗核心”、“以释放对抗虚假”、“以运动对抗宰制”、“以创新对抗怀旧”等实践方法,以有效对治现实社会的大众化、庸俗化与功利化的文明走向。台湾儒学是一种动态的文化,本质上是一种精神性的教养运动,且落实在现实生活中,有具体的行动策略,不断地推陈出新,能因时制宜与随事变通,是立足于本土的社会关怀。

Abstract:

Taiwan Confucianism is the product of socialization and the cultural movement caused by local environment, namely, not the transplantation of foreign culture but the innovation and transformation of local culture, which takes the modern state of human existence into serious consideration and overcomes the difficulties from both inner malformation and outer challenge on the ideal and realistic cultural way to the development of Taiwan Confucianism. In this process, Taiwan Confucianism must face such four challenges as “border against center”, “outspread against falsification”, “movement against control” and “innovation against reminiscence” so as to solve problems in the civilized tendency of popularization, vulgarization and utilitarianism. Taiwan Confucianism is a dynamic culture, and essentially a movement of spiritual cultivation which takes concrete social actions, changes with times and focuses on local society.
