Abstract:

It is generally accepted that the Mandarin duckbutterfly Literary School does not exist any longer since 1949. Yet I think the situation was really complicated . During the early years of the founding of the Peoples Republic of China, the publication of Mandarin duckbutterfly Literary School almost had to be shut down because of the harsh military control and the inner power disputes among the men of letters. However, proceeding from the financial shortage, the new political power allowed the press organization of the Mandarin duckbutterfly Literary School to go on running, therefore, the remaining print resource offered opportunities for novels such as romantic stories and swordsman fiction . Anyway, the Mandarin duckbutterfly Press was getting into hard times, under the ongoing pressure of public opinion as well as the book banning movement, those Mandarin duckbutterfly writers had to be as silent as a cicada in cold weather. The state of affairs aroused confrontational bargaining among the former intellectuals from leaders in the literary and artistic fields. From then on, the Mandarin duckbutterfly Literary School began spreading out from underground, then swing round, even to be in flood. Generally speaking, until 1955s thorough ban from cultural circles and 1957s accomplishment of Socialist Transformation of privately run enterprises, the spreading of the Mandarin duckbutterfly Literary School becomes history already.

Key words: the Mandarin duckbutterfly Literary Style, pornographic culture, ban, confrontational bargaining
