粤东华林第四纪断层初析

Primary Study of the Hualin Quaternary Fault in Eastern Guangdong

摘要: 首次报道粤东地区发现的第四纪断层华林断层。该断层切割了时代可能属晚更新世的沉积;断面总体走向300°,倾向北东,倾角75°,下盘尚发育多个向下收敛的分枝裂面,其上的擦痕指示断裂下盘上升。断面向下与基岩中的断裂相连,表明其形成是基底断裂继承性活动引起。

Abstract:

The Hualin fault is the quaternary active fault found in eastern Guangdong Province. The sediment bed cut by the fault is likely formed in the late Pleistocene. The fault strikes to 300°and inclines to northeast with an angle of 75°. Three subfractures converging downwards are found on the lower wall of the main fault, indicating a downward movement of the upper wall of the fault. The Quaternary fault cut into the basement with metamorphic rocks on its upper side and coarsegrained biotite granite on the lower, suggesting that the quaternary fault was generated by reactivation of the basement fracture after formation of the Quaternary sediments.
